Peeing All The Time

I'm in agony! I have to pee all the time! I can't even make it through an hour long meeting without having to get up twice. At night it's even worse. I can't fall asleep because of my bladder, and when I finally drift off, I keep having to get up about once every hour or so. Has anybody else had this problem, or have any clue how to deal with it? I was tested for a UTI, and that's not it. The doctor says it's just the baby pressing on the bladder, and to make sure not to eat much suger, as that can make it worse. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated. I'm 8 weeks 5 days today.

I have never heard of the problem being this severe so soon. It may just be the way you are carrying the baby. The only thing I can suggest is to try different sleeping positions and see if that helps. Maybe a pillow to help support what belly you do have? Good luck and let us know if you find something that works!

I was having this issue pretty bad, but its letting up now in my 9th week. It will get better for you as well soon, by the 2nd tri it typically gets much better, then of course much worse towards the end of the 3rd tri, lol, but you should get a break from it soon! Its just one of those many annoying things we preggo women have to deal with to get our little bundles of joy! As to dealing with it, try to not drink anything in the hour before bed, that seems to help a bit - though I would still get up 2-3 times in the first hour I laid down - it was better than the 10 times in 3 hours I'd have to go if I did drink something so it was a bit of a help. Like I said though now it is getting better though - I get up it seems just once in the night to go pee now, then I'm good till morning.

I cant help but laugh! I too cannot stop peeing. I am 8weeks 5 days today (one day beind you). What i found was as soon as i went once i would be going all day. So i tried holding it but that didnt work. If you gotta go you gotta go. hopefully this will ease up soon for both of us.

I feel for you because I am experiencing the same thing and I am 11 weeks! I'm hoping that this will ease up a little too. I'm trying not to drink too much when it's close to bed time. This is my second child and I really don't remember having to go as often as I do now. Good luck to you!

It will ease up as the baby moves a bit higher, then will get worse in the third trimester again.
