Anyone else here getting chronic UTIs? Or even just a UTI? What did your doctor give you? Just curious....I've had 4 of them in the last 2 months.... :p

Hey Danielle, I've always gotten them alot even before I've gotten pregnant. Unfortunately my dr. won't put me on anything to prevent them. I recommend a D-Mannose supplement. You can order it off the computer, its safe for pregnancy, and it works great. You just mix it in with a cup of water, or you can get it in pill form. It has been a lifesaver for me.

I've always always always suffered from frequent UTIs (since about the age of 5) and what I've found that helps for prevention are cranberry pills and cranberry concentrate. The concentrate is awesome when you feel something coming on. Take a spoonful of the syrup and choke it down...symptoms usually disappear. Make sure you get pure cranberry concentrate, though, because sometimes it is mixed in with other juices. I know GNC carries the correct form. It's usually in a gla__s bottle that seems unusually small and unusually pricey. ;) If you pay less than $12, it might not be the correct kind....read the label. A bottle that size should last you quite awhile. Take the cranberry pills (about 2-4) daily with your normal vitamins. That should help...it does with me, and I thought I'd NEVER be free of UTIs. Now that I'm pregnant, well, I'm a bit worried. lol.
