I am 8 weeks pregnant and suffering from seasonal allergies. Does anyone know what allergy medicine is safe to take?

I found this at Parents.com. I'm sure there are several opinions on this but I thought I would share. Q: I am in my 19th week of pregnancy, and I suffer from allergies. Is there anything that I could take to relieve my symptoms and not hurt my baby? A: After the first trimester, it is safe to treat your allergies with antihistamines, including Benadryl and Chlor-Trimeton. Neither should pose a serious risk to the baby. Because there has been an a__sociation with cleft palate and antihistamine use in the first trimester, it is best to avoid them during the first twelve weeks and treat allergy symptoms with acetaminophen (Tylenol) and mentholated steam for sinus pain. Nasal sprays and eye drops should also be avoided in the first trimester and then only be used with a doctor's permission. Overall, it is important to check with your doctor before taking any over-the-counter medication while pregnant.

Thank you so much for all the info. Not only do I have to deal with all the first trimester preg symptoms, now I have to deal with my dreaded allergies. Not Fun...............:o(
