When Are You Supposed To Get The First DARK Positive

Hi! I've had 2 miscarriages, with every one, I tested a few days before my period was supposed to start, on the day of my missed period and a week after my missed period. All three times during those unsuccessful pregnancies the test line came up very faint. I knew something was wrong, especially when I tested a week after the first day of my missed period. So my question is, when are you supposed to get that first DARK positive test line? Is a week after you missed period too early or should it get dark as soon as you miss your period? I know everyone is different, and tests are different, but I'm talking about the "test 5 days sooner" ones, since they detect a lower level of HCG, so please please please share your thoughts.

I'm sorry baout your losses. I've had two miscarriages as well, one at 11wks and one very very early. the early loss was obvious and i knew i was going to miscarry because the line never got darker. Basically, your hormone levels double every day, so a faint line is fine, but a couple days later it should be more distictive and so on.....so if it remains very faint, it probably did not implant correct. also, if you are doing the 5 days prior test, always test first thing in the morning. good luck!

I'm sorry for your miscarriages. I used First Respone Test and with my daughter I got a dark BFP 3 days before my missed period, the first time I tested. For this pregnancy I used the same brand of test, I tested 5 days before missed period and got a BFN, then I tested 3 days before missed period and got a light BFP. I tested again 1 day before my missed period and got a very dark BFP.

Thank you so much for your replies. Today is the first day of my missed period. I tested the first time 2 days ago on the Answer test (the 5 days sooner one) and got a faint positive, then I tested again today with the same test and got a darker positive, but still not as dark as the control line. Are the two lines supposed to be the same color? I mean when you see the control line (the one that's always there) is it the darkest color it can get?

I think that because it is darker is a good sign.....i would check first thing the morning of your missed period and a__sess from there....I don't know just how dark it gets, but darker is better....good luck!
