Below is the link with the study (delete all dashes). Basically it says that even the bottom lip quivers at 28 weeks in the womb. Which means that it is possible that our little ones are not in 100% heaven inside our bellies. Pool little ones.. aweeeee. http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2005/aug/05082606.html

I forgot to mention you can see a video of a baby crying in the womb. I am amazed how they are truly real people inside our bellies!

I guess - September 9

this is impressive if you don't have 4D videos at home of your 16 week fetus sucking it's thumb. Considering they can hear well before 28 weeks I would say noise disturbance would be enough to make me cry in utereo. I a amazed that you doubted they were "real" people.

This is so amazing. All these days i thought baby cant even feel the pain when it is in uterus. But this changed my thinking. I will try to be more careful from today, i dont want my little one to cry. Thanks for the link Mary.

I don't know why, but I couldn't get to that site. Damn! I really want to see it!

That is amazing. It kinda pulls at your heart strings at the same time. I think that we all know that they are "real People" while in utero but, when we see something like this it is amazing how developed our baby really is.

Thanks S! I got it that time. :) It's amazing! Someone posting a question months ago asking if babies could cry in the womb, and everyone thought she was crazy! I've been weeping a lot throughout my pregnancy. I really hope I haven't disturbed her too much!

Crying is a natural reaction and it is part of growing and developing. I did think that my baby was in heaven inside my belly, It makes me a bit sad to know that he cries already, even though it is nice and warm and protected in there. We moms just love our little ones so much, don't we?

what ever - September 9

i have no doubt that our babys lips can quiver in the belly . but i dont believe they can cry . i did go to the site and watched the video and i still dont believe it. because you have to breath to cry . you need air in your lungs to cry . it looked more like a yawn to me and my hubby....

Your baby cannot make a sound until it takes it's first breath, in the delivery room. That's what you have heard. The article is saying that although they are not making a sound, they are showing signs of crying. Fetuses showed a "startle" response to a noise, along with deep inhalations and exhalations, an open mouth and a "quivering" chin -- all signs of crying. God, why does SOMEONE always have to be negative?

what ever - September 9

what so positive about your unborn baby already crying in the womb?

what ever - September 9

deep inhalations and exhalations ?? WHAT EVER ! surrounded in amniotic fluid? go jump in to a swimming pool and hold your self under and try taking deep inhalations and exhalations and see how that works for you
