Baby Is Right On My Bladder

Im pretty sure the baby uses my bladder as a matress. Everytime I pee I feel this heavy pressure where my bladder is, the fuller my bladder was, the more it hurts. It goes away after a while but I have to sit down for a bit or 'hold up my baby'. I know I'm carrying low, but is it normal for it to be THAT low and to hurt like that??

I had the same problem about a month ago. As matter of fact, it sounds exactly the same. It is pretty painful and lasted for over a week until I ended up in the ER. I had a job in which I would stand for sometimes 12 hours a day, I and my doctor thought that added to the problem, so I quit and am now home for the remainder of my pregnancy. My doctor also found a fibroid on the outside of my uterus which he thought MAY have contributed to the pain, but not sure. I say may have because I'm not trying to freak you out. I think it could just be your body telling you to rest, cause I sure know I wasn't getting enough rest. I sware my girl is lying a little low as well, but I could be wrong, the doctor hasn't mentioned it. Get a couple days of rest and see how you feel after helped me. Take care and let me know how you're doing.

Wow ... I didn't know that it could be that bad. I waitress 5 nights a week, average 5 hours per shift. Ill try to take it easy for a while and see if ti gets any better. I haven't given my work the date I will be leaving, but I'm going to say mid-end of August. Thanks for the info :) I don't know if it has any relevance, but how far along are you? I'm 28 weeks.

I feel about the same. I quit working at 27 weeks because of pelvic pressure and high blood pressure. I was standing all day, too. It hasn't gotten better in the 7 weeks I've been home. If anything, I'm starting to feel a little worse. If I try to walk very far, I end up feeling the baby's head pushing hard on me. I asked my doctor about it. This is my second baby, and he said that's why I've got all the pressure, from my ligaments and muscles being stretched from my first pregnancy. The only thing I've found that helped me was a suppport belt. I got it at Motherhood for $15, but if you're a regular size Walmart has a less expensive copy of it.
