I have just taken a test with a BFP result which i am ver happy about. I told my DH who was also hapy but then remembered that he had booked us a "surprise" vacation. What i am wondering is can you request to be induced two weeks early?

ummmmmm, I don't think so. Do you want to be induced so you can go on vacation after the baby is born? Believe me, going on vacation will be the last thing on your mind when you have a newborn. Plus, who will watch the baby?

insurance a good thing - October 4

insurance will cover the cancelation ...he did buy cancelation insurance right? Get those out and speak to your doc once you get into the 'safety zone ' second tri mester

you will NOT want to take a vacation with a 2 week old...also, an induction is not fun, and highly increases the risk of you needing a C-section. I was induced on my due date because of pre-eclampsia - I was in labor for 24 hours and ended up needing a C-section...I took the whole 6 weeks to recover, and my doctor said I healed really fast. See if, rather than cancelling the vacation, you can postpone it, or perhaps sell it to someone else.

my girflfriend was induced 3 times and still ended up with a c section due to probs after a 36 hour labour. dont go for induction unless overdue. a holiday is not worth it, go earlier or later but with a newborn you wont want to go away.go 2nd trimester when travel is safe and easy and a much needed break before a busy babe cames
