I am really worried, I have Oral herpes and have ever since I was young. I am scared that it's going to hurt the baby. I am 12 weeks pregnant. I know that genital herpes can be extremely bad, so I worry about this.. anybody have any experience with it?

Why are you worried? Lots of people get cold sores. It is just important not to kiss your baby when you have a cold sore and be diligent about washing your hands if you touch an open cold sore. If your baby is grabbing at your face you may want to put a band-aid over an open sore. The same goes for letting anyone else kiss your baby when they have a cold sore. It shouldn't be any issue at all in your pregnancy.

I have had cold sores (about 1-2 a year) on my lip *yuck* since I was a teen. It's not a problem. Just dont kiss anyone. It won't effect your unborn baby what-so-ever. Don't worry. :)

I get cold sores all the time. Make sure that you DON'T TOUCH YOUR MOUTH THEN TOUCH DOWN THERE ON YOUR BF OR YOURSELF. I get them about once a month but mine is due to a rare gum disease. It will not affect your baby at all so long as it stays on your mouth. Don't worry, just be careful. :o)
