I had unprotected s_x a little over 3 weeks ago and my period came 11 days late. I am very tired , constipated and peeing frequently, could I still be pregnant even though i started my period?

Yes, Sara. No sore b___bs? Bleeding similar to a period occurs in quite a few pregnant women for the first few months. I'm surprised you didn't take a home pregnancy test when you missed your period. I think it would be a good idea to get one now, and / or go to the Health Department / Planned Parenthood for prenatal counseling. Take care with the instructions on the hpt. First pee in the morning, and watch the timing instructions, too. Come back and tell us the result! We'll be thinking of you.

I actually took four. The one I took before the last one came up very faint positive and the most recent one(along with all the others) came up negative. And with all the comments on this site about hpt's I really don't know what to think. Though it's Sunday and I will schedule a blood test for tomorrow. Thanks for the support!

Ok. I am going crazy with these faint lined pregno tests. I got a digital test and the way it works is you stick this strip, that still has the lines that show up, in the digital aplicator. Well the digital applicator said "not pregnant" so i thought, "ok thats that" well i ejected the strip and there is that annoying faint line next to the solid line. only this time, its more visible than the last, though still faint. I know what you are going to say, Go tot he doctor and I am, I just hate the waiting!

for Ann: implantation spotting occurs one time for some women, usually a few days before their first "missed" period. For later bleeding check http://www.healthsquare.com/mc/fgmc0207.htm Bleeding during the first months is termed "threatened miscarriage" though most of these women go on to carry to term. It is usually but not always around the time of the missed period. If severe, call a doctor. If clots are involved, save the clots.
