I HAVE HEARD THAT STOVE CLEANING CHEMICALS CAN CAUSE BIRTH DEFECTS. IS THIS TRUE, WHAT OTHER COMMON HOUSEHOLD CLEANING CHEMICALS SHOULD BE TOTALLY AVOIDED WHILE PREGNANT

I still clean my tub every few days when I take a bath instead of shower. I use comet or scrub free. I also use greased lighting and purple power when I wash my vehicle. Everything is OK with my lil guy due on Fri

I have used lysol, comet and lysol tile and tub cleaner and been okay. Just be in a well ventilated area and try not to breath in alot of fumes. Of course if you are exposed to these fumes all day at work or something, that might be a different story.

We've put heavy duty cleaning on the back burner. This was mainly my husband's idea. He has volunteered to do any bleaching or scrubbing. I was dishes, tidy, laundry, etc., but he is in charge of the bathroom, stove and disinfecting. Earlier in my pregnancy I had tried to sneek in some hard-core cleaning. I quickly found that I was much more sensative to the fumes. I was nauseated with a headache in no time. It wasn't scientific, but I decided that I shouldn't do things that made me sick while pregnant. Some times things get done and sometimes they don't, but we don't mind .
