Is It Really Bad As Every One Is Telling Me

I am 24 weeks pregnant and I am terrified of Labor, I am so scared. I do not know wether to get a epidoral(don't know if spelled right) or just a IV. Which is more safe and which helps more?

I had my angel in Jan. I swore I was going to go completely natural. By the time I was 4 1/2 cm, I was in a lot of pain so I said "Bring on the epidural." It was the best thing ever (I was terrified of the needle, but at that point, I didn't care anymore.) Don't get me wrong, the pain wasn't unbearable, but I decided that I really wanted to be rested when it came time to push. I got 2 hours of sleep after the epidural and then only had to push for 40 min. I hardly even broke a sweat. Don't be afraid of an epidural; it can make labor more relaxing.

Make your own decisions. To make a long story short, I was scared to death during my first labor because of what everyone was telling me, but it was a breeze. The second time around should be easier right, so they say. Well the second time around I was begging for an epidural. But anything you go through is worth it and forgotten when you hold that baby in your arms. Lots of Luck
