Is It Usual To Hear The Baby S Heartbeat In The Same Place

I love hearing the baby's heartbeat, and it really really relaxes me, so whenever I feel stressed; which has been a lot in the past few days, I'd lay down with the doppler and listen to my baby's heartbeat. Well, the heartbeat has been very strong. (This morning it was 151-158.) The thing I'm concerned about is that I always hear the heartbeat in the same spot. Is that normal? Sometimes I worry that the baby isn't moving around or something...Maybe it's just where the uterus is, and it's where the baby lays but does move around in that area too, but I'm still unsure. lol Or maybe t's the only place the heartbeat can come through...I don't know. But instead of asking all of those questions to myself, I thought I"d make a fool of myself and ask if it's normal if It's unusual to always hear the h/b in the same place or not. Thanks.

it really depends on alot of things. how far along you are, how long the cord is, where the placenta is placed. you may be getting a reading off the cord or the placenta or even the echo of your own heart. without knowing all of those things i think it's safe to a__sume the baby is just fine and dandy.

Nah, I know it's the baby's heartbeat because of the fact that the doctor taught me how to use the doppler and find the heartbeat and you can clearly tell it's the baby's heartbeat...

I never used a dopler myself but I have noticed that it's pretty much detected in the same spot when the nurse checks it for me. It seems to be a little lower now that I'm almost due and he is dropping.

I had a doppler too at the beginning of my pregnancy and I always heard it at the same spot. But now I am 7 months I can pick it up in different locations.
