I get it when i'm pregnant and for awhile after. The best I could come up with is to shave it. Sucks doesn't it?

does it thicken if you shave? is it just from hormones?

I didn't get that, but if it doesn't go away after pregnancy, you might look into electolysis. It is something like $15 for 15 minutes, and it's supposed to only take a few treatments to remove it permanently. I think it would be great in a situation where there aren't many hairs, but just enough to make you uncomfortable or embara__sed. For $15 a pop, it would be worth permanent removal. Good luck!

if you can find someone who does threading you'll be better of than shaving. I think shaving will thicken it depending on your horemone levels. Threading hurts, but to be it would be worth a few minutes of pain.

Wow. I've been pulling and shaving! I thought I lost my mind! Glad to see that I'm not the only one!! I've even started veeting my chin. It is so wonderful just to wipe and feel smoothness.

My doctor said it's from hormones and it's hereditary. My mom didn't have it so I have to either blame Grandma or Dad. It doesn't thicken, don't worry. What is threading? ~m~ I found places that do laser hair removal, but they charge closer to $200.00 a treatment and recommend 5 or 6. Is that the same as electrolysis?

sugarpie what is veeting

tiff, not sure about exactly how many treatments. It may take more than 5-6. But in my area, it is cheap. In bigger cities, it may be more expensive. -- to "?", I think she is talking about that cream hair remover called "Veet"....... like Nair. I sometimes use in on my legs. It works for me because my leg hair is thin, fine, and very blond. I don't think it works for people with thicker darker hair.

Shaving the hairs doesn't thicken them but it makes them more obvious when they grow back in. Threading has a similar effect to waxing without the pulling of the skin. If you live in an area with a high East Indian population, like I do, you can get it done for as little as $2. The hair grows back in tapered making it appear finer.

~m~ Exactly. It's Veet. I have thick and dark hair, so it does work, but I have to leave it on for three minutes as opposed to women who can leave it on a bit shorter. Either way, I need to get myself a bottle! Much love***
