Morning Sickness Different Between Pregnancies

I just wanted to find out if your morning sickness was more/same/less with different pregnancies. I'm also curious whether you had boy(s) or girl(s) and whether you think it related to your morning sickness e.g. had worse morning sickness with boy or girl. I've always wanted to have 3-4 kids but I'm having such a terrible time with morning sickness that I'm thinking about stopping at 1. Appreciate your feedback.

Well for me morning sickness is related more to girls but I could be wrong - good on you for having more - dont let this stop you - I promise it goes away after about 12 - 14 weeks

Only had morning sickness for a week with my son and it was gone and the rest of my pregnancy I felt fine. This time I have been sick the since I found out I am 7 weeks and found out at 4 weeks.

With my first child, no m/s, was a girl. Second child, a little m/s , another girl. With this pregnancy, m/s all day from 9-12 weeks. We'll find out June 1 what it is.

I had no m/s w/ my son last year, but had a few weeks of it this time; I don't know what s_x it is yet, but I'm hoping that means it's a girl :) I'll keep you posted, but it does usually vary for every pregnancy, so I wouldn't stop at one just because of this pregnancy--your next one might be a breeze.

I'm on my second pregnancy, with my second girl. Both times, ms started around 4 weeks pregnancy. First pregnancy, ended nicely at the three month mark. This time, it began tapering off around month four, but I still felt kind of yucky for several weeks after.

Morning sickness doesn't have anything to do with gender but each pregnancy is different. I was sick for a few weeks with my first son and am having another boy in Oct. and have been sick since day one and am 21 weeks and still get sick every morning. I was sooo sick this time around I had to be put on medication by my doctor. I also have friends that have had both girls and boys and have had morning sickness.

I had morning sickness with both my kids ( a girl and boy) but it was absolutely shocking with my son. It only lasted a few months but i lost a lot of weight and my dr was ready to admit me to hospital

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I've hit the 12 week mark and the ms has just started to settle down slightly. I've been in hospital once for dehydration and have lost 5kg in 5 weeks. Thanks goodness for it settling down now. I kept dinner in for the first time in 7 weeks last night. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but I "feel" like I'm having a boy. Will keep you posted when I do find out.

I had no moring sickness with my daughter. Am pregnant again and had three good months of sickess finally tapering off. Every pregnancy is different. Hang In There!

Sandra, like you I had to be hospitalized due to dehydration and also lost 5kg the second month of pregnancy. My ALLDAY sickness started at around 7 weeks for me and I am now 21 weeks and vomit only about once to twice a week now. Mine started to taper off at about 18 weeks for me. I still get waves of nausea at various times, but it usually pa__ses within ten minutes to half an hour.

Oh, I failed to mention I am having a girl. I have heard that with girls there is predominantly more/worse MS on average. I would say from what I have read on this site from other moms and reading many personal account stories there has been about in percentage wise, those who had the worst sickness -- 75 to 80% were girls. That could be off on account that maybe only those who actually had/has MS put a response in. There could be more moms out there who went/going through pregnancy with minimal MS or none at all and did not respond because they felt as if it did not pertain to them and could have been carrying or had a girl. I don't know if I am making any sense to anyone else but myself.

As a mother of a boy and a girl, with one on the way, I can honestly say that all pregnancies are different. I had a lot of morning sickness with both of kids, but none with this one. I was hoping to be able to compare the symptoms of my 2 previous pregnancies with this one to determine what I was having, but so far, the symptoms with this one just don't compare. For me, the 3rd pregnancy is the charm. This one (knock on wood) is a piece of cake, I just hope that carries through in the babies life. :o)
