I am 25 weeks along and for the past 2 weeks I have been feeling vvery depressed about EVERYTHING!! I have talked to my boyfriend about what is on my mind and that makes me feel better but only for the moment. As soon as I get back to normal life I feel all down in the dumps. One of my biggest worries is that I am having seroius trust issues with my boyfriend but I have no reason to be. I worry about the baby inside me if t is going to be healthy and so on everything I do I question because I don't know if it can hurt the baby. I don't know how to deal with all of this I cry myself to sleep every night Please help me What should I do? Will me being depressed affect the baby? Thanks!

honey! you need to let the doctor know about this! it could be a hormone imbalance and the doctor can help you. i recently was put on an antidepressant for stress, and i'm feeling so much more motivated. please please go to the dr.!! i will pray for you as well.

It sounds to me like you are experiencing perinatal depression. You need to get some help with this ASAP- there is research that proves a depressed, anxious mother pa__ses these feelings onto her unborn baby, as well as has an effect on early bonding. As well, you are at a higher risk for Postpartum Depression if you are already experiencing syptoms. I only know this b/c this is baby #3. I have been there all 3 times and am currently seeking help so it doesn't get too bad when baby arrives. Do not ignore this!! Get help. Remember it is a sign of STRENGTH to ask for help! Good luck to you.

They are all right. A women who is depressed during pregnancy is at much higher risk for postpartum depression. They have anti depressants you can take while pregnant. Definately let your Dr. know how you are feeling. It is normal to be scared and aprehensive about a new baby so some of this is normal, but you need to be happy, so please get help.

I get this way a lot especially when I am at work. I hate my job and I am counting down until I can be finished!!! I believe my depression stems from my job mostly and yeah I may have some other issues too. My advice to you is to keep a good support system around you and have at least a few people you can talk to about your depression. Tell your doc about it also like the other ladies said to. Best wishes for you feeling better and having a healthy baby!
