Ovulation Pd After The Pill

Has anyone come off the pill and not gotten a pd??? I haven't had a pd since I've stopped taking my pill, not even a "fake" period in the sugar pill week...I originally thought I was pg, but hpts and blood tests are all neg...Do you need to have a period first before you can ovulate...THis is all very confusing to me and my doctor wants me to take provera to start my pd again, but I don't want to...I'm now about 32 days late...but not pg apparently...Any advice???? Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Yes, happen to 2 of my best friends. Aparently it is quite common, I don't know alot of info but I can tell you that ovulation usually begins approxiamtely 12 - 16 days after your first day of period, so yes you need to have your period for things to get back to normal. It's also really important especially if you've been using pill for many years. Whilst ur on the pill you don't have a thick lining on the wall of the uterus so it will increase your chances of miscarrraige if you do become pregnant on the pill because the uterus can't support the faetus.Being off the pill for few months after taking it for a while is the best thing you can do to become pregnant. Is this making sense? Anyway, my friends both using different doctors where prescribed provera to start periods and then on the second day of bleeding they where to have another pill - not sure what called but ur GP would know - within 2 months of period they where both pregnant. They are both due on October, 8th and 24th, so it's not far away and are healthy as ever. Just thought you'd like to know. Best wishes with all the plans and lots of ~BABY DUST~ to you and ur partner :>
