Pelvic Question

Can a doctor really tell if you are pregnant with a pelvic exam? Hello, I went to the doctor to see if I was pregnant. He did a quick exam and said my uterus was normal. I would have swore that I'm pregnant. I had brown spotting last month and no period this month. This is whats going on with me: nausea, light headed, and twinges. I will see another doctor. What do you think?

Did he have you take a pg test? Blood or urine? How late are you? If you truly believe that you are pg, then yes - I'd find another doctor and get their opinion. It really depends on how far along you are in order for a doc to tell just by doing a pel exam. I think you have to be at least 6 weeks along. Good Luck!

Yes, I took a hpt. I got a postive. I had a couple pregnant women tell me no. The doctors can't tell by a exam. One of my friend was 5 months along. The doctor said he could tell. I don't know what to think. I will make another appointment.

I'd get a test done at the docs office or at a clinic. But if you got a pos on an hpt, then I'd say congratulations are in order!!! Start taking prenatals asap (if you aren't already). Good Luck!
