Had 1st scan yesterday at 16wks & 3days. Placenta position is "anterior wall placenta". Can anyone give me any information? Thanks!

mine is anterior too. it just means it's on the front of your tummy instead of on your back. i was about 21 weeks before i felt the baby move, the placenta was working as a shock absorber. :o) most of the other mom's i've known with anterior placement showed early. that's about all i know, it's not the norm, but it wont hurt you or the babe.

Thanks Maleficent. Haven't really felt baby move much. Have had little flutters but not sure whether was baby or not. Did not say anything to me at the hospital about the position of the placenta I had read it in my notes. My mind is at ease now. Thanks once again.

Mine's anterior too. I didn't show till I was 5 months. I felt flutters at 15 weeks, but didn't get real kicks until 21 weeks. The baby had her face buried in the placenta at our 21 week scan making it very difficult to see her in detail. I'm glad I don't have the worry of a low placenta though. It's a good thing.
