Scared Of Not Really Being Pregnant

I am so scared of telling everyone that 'm pregnant and then finding out that I'm really not. 3 days ago I took an at home pregnancy test which tested positive. Then, to be even more sure, I took another one the next morning which came out with an even more defined line than the 1st. Based on my calculations I should be about 6 or 7 weeks along. However, the problem is that I guess I am traumatized because my mom, who is in her 40ties, went through an empty sack pregnancy about 3 years ago, which I can say that I lived through her. And although my husband assures me that I am, and I even have all the symptoms, I'm just afraid that my body is creating this illusion or that the sack may be empty. I know the best way to find out is to go see my doctor, but she won't see me until mid-next month. My husband & I are planning to tell my folks tonight over a family reunion/dinner, but I'm just so afraid of being ridiculed if I'm not. My belly is already pretty big too. What do you think?

Normally people will wait about 3 months into a pregnancy or until the baby heartbeat is heard or seen. Most miscarriages occur in the first 12 weeks (3 months) I told my mother and sisters when I was about 8 or 9 weeks. Everyone else found out about a month ago. I am almost 5 months Now whoever dont know will have to see for themsleves. now. If you do not feel comfortable telling them just yet dont. I sure they will enjoy the surprise when ever you tell them. Knowing Mothers she may know just as she sees you. LOL
