Sudafed In The First Trimester

I have been really sick with a horrible cold, last week I called the DR office and they said I could take plain old sudafed, I practically sprinted to the drug store I felt so horrible. I later read on my paperwork that it can be taken after 12 weeks, so I called again, they said it was ok. But I just read in my mag. that it should be avoided during the first trimester. Now I am a nervous wreck, I took it 6 times!

My dr gave me a list of meds ok for every ailment you can have. Sudafed is in fact on there for nasal congestion as well as chlortrimeton or actifed. For a cough robitussin DF or DM are listed. Headaches and fever show tylenol or extra strength tylenol and increase fluid intake. Hope that helps.

I took Sudafed during the first trimester, with a doctor's okay. Sudafed is also on the list of medicines I was given designated as "safe" for pregnancy. Obviously nothing is 100%, and you will get varied opinions from different people/doctors/sources. I wouldn't stress over it though!

I have a question: I was sick with a nasty sinus infection and I took a nyquil AND a certain antibiotic. then I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. Did I hurt my baby?
