Hi. I am on my 12th week of pregnancy. My question is, will a yeast infection affect my baby if I let it go un-treated? I had an US done yesterday, and everything was fine.

A yeast infection can hurt your baby at anytime during your pregnancy. go to a doctor for treatment, don't try to self treat. Some creams and suppositories can hurt the baby.

How can it affect my baby?

It will not hurt your baby at all. When your baby pa__ses through your v____al. thats when the baby can tract it

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the input. I just got back from my doc's office and he said that everything should be fine. I don't need to treat it b/c it should go away on its own. Otherwise I can treat it the further along I am. Thanks for your input!

My sister is studying natural medicine and she told me that eating lots of yogurt helps fight yeast infections. Also taking echancea vitamins, but since your pregnant you should ask your doctor about taking vitamins. It does work though, i haven't had an infection since I'v been doing that.
