My DS is 10 weeks today and has his two months shots tomorrow...late I know bt we couldn't get an appointment (they were supposed to be today..but thats another story!) ANYWAY what did everyone do to make the day go smoother...before during and after the shots? Thanks in advance!

before there isn't much, during I insisted on holding him so I could comfort him right away. also if you b___stfeed...give him the b___b right after the shots. Most baby's will run a low grade fever after so giving him some tylano, (some parents just give it to them as a precausion) I personally didn't and my son didn't get a fever. gl

For my ds it wasn't bad at all. I mean he cried out of pain when he got the shots but it lasted 1 min maybe. Then he was extra sleepy for 2 days afterwards. He ran a VERY slight fever for 4hrs after the shots but I gave him Infant Tylenol and that helped. With each set of shots it just got easier. For his 4 month shots he hardly flinched and had no fever and was himself right after the shots. Every baby is different but IMO the shots aren't as terrible as you would think they are. Like mommybabyboy21 I held my ds during all his shots. Being on a table makes them feel extra vunerable and exposed.
