I have a 3 week old ds - just curious as to how others babes around this age are sleeping at night? What is the longest duration they have slept? My ds currently gets up every 1.5-2 hours to eat. Does anyone know when they start sleeping a little longer?

My son is almost 4 weeks old, and i don't want to jinx it but I think he is already falling into a routine. If he drinks his last bottle around 10p-11p and falls asleep right away sometimes i will actually have to wake him up. If I let him he will sleep the whole night. So I usually wake him around 430a-530a and give him his bottle and he sleeps through the whole feeding. I change him and he will sleep to 8am. That's pretty much how its been since he was about 12 days old.

At that age our LO was waking at 12, 2, 4, 6. At around 5 weeks we started bottle feeding, and added in the dream feed at 10:30. So the 12 wake up went away afetr a day. Then we worked on the 4 am by just giving her the paci at that time, and she stopped waking at 4. So the 2/3 am is all we have left now and she takes so little now that we are going to start phasing it out with the paci tonight. Hope it works. You grow to know their cries, so I'll know if she is actually hungry and will feed her. But I think at this point it might be more a hibitual waking problem... So hang tight, those 2 hour feeds will begin to dwindle in a week or so. Try to figure it out, is it hunger or comfort your LO is looking for during those wakeups? Oh, the other thing, start trying to move your LO to a 3 hour schedule during the day. She'll take more at each feed and this will also help for getting out of the 2 hour rut at night. take it slow and watch her queues.
