Sorry this might sound stupid. I have been br___tfeeding and using ready to feed and I'm not sure how to do powder stuff anymore. My ? is about boiling the water. I want to boil the water but then where should I put it to cool off before using it for the formula? What do u ladies do? I need something that will possibly save time. My baby has a voracious appet_te. When she is hungry she wants her food now! Thanks.

I either use filtered water from our frig or buy Arrowhead in Gallon Plastic Jugs. I probably don't get mine perfectly mixed but I just add room temp water first...then the scoops...and shake the c___p out of em. I always reshake them prior to feeding as well...but I typically make about 6-7 bottles at a time. Like your dd....my ds wants his grub NOW...and he's got a set of lungs on him that's for sure

Thanks. I will try that. I mixed some last night and can't get rid of clumps though. Also I am using Similac Sensitive and it's really foamy. I scooped the foam out of the bottle.

I've heard some bad things abt boiling the water, it can stir up some bad chemicals and make it worse. I would google it first.

i was told you dont have to boil the water. we use our ozarka filtered water tank if we are downstairs and upstairs in her room i keep a gallon of baby water for the morning bottle and i used to use this at night when she needed night feedings. a gallon is like $1 at walmart, target, etc.

Well, I tried the formula w/ filtered water and also with boiled water. She won't drink it....so I'm back to giving her ready to feed! It costs a lot more, but oh well, that is what she wants to drink. I think she got used to the consistency.
