my lo is a little over 7 months and has had the toast a couple times now and did fine. i am just paranoid about a piece coming off and her choking. what age did you start to give the zwieback toast, or other teething biscuits, etc. and how did your lo do with it? my dd loves the toast, by the way, and it occupies her for a while so i can start dinner, so that's great. she is getting 2 teeth on the bottom but they are not completely in yet.

I started teething biscuits at 7 months. I watch him very carefully though because sometimes he does get a chunk off. I wait to see if he can chew & then swallow it on his own before intervening and he usually does. I have had to pull it out of his mouth maybe 2x. He gums, chews and sucks on them for quite a while and makes quite a mess. I think if you're watching your lo closely at all times then teething biscuits are fine. BTW my ds got his 1st tooth at 7.5 months old...and at 8.5 months old he still only has the 1 tooth. They don't need teeth to enjoy finger foods. GL.
