My lo has a cold and now me and hubby have it. She is only 8 wks old. My concern is it developing into an infection. Any tips or things to watch out for?

High fever, in an 8 week old you should contact your Dr. if it gets to 100.4 F. Also wheezing is not a good sign or a crouping cough. Just make sure you keep her nose cleared with your asporator and that she is still eating and is not lethargic.

allison,im a little more relaxed the 2nd time around...my DD is 10wks and has big time sneezies, snotty nose and cough. But no fever...and that is KEY. There isnt much you can do for babies when they have colds---decongestants and such are not approved---so you just keep them elavated and cleaned out w/the aspirator...if you LO is like mine...i think I am more concerened than she is miserable. But always go w/your mom instinct...and call the ped if you have any ???. Good luck.
