Baby Doing Crunches

Well not really. But he is 11 weeks old and likes to 'curl up' like he is doing crunches when he is in his bouncer, sitting in my lap or even laying flat. He brings his head up and part of his shoulders. It looks funny. Anyone else's baby doing these?

Ha, ha. My dd (a few days short of 8 mos) does this too. She has done it for a long time. It is hilarious to watch her. She is a very active baby, so I'd guess yours is (or will be) too.

OMG is he ever an ACTIVE little thing. He likes to head b___t when we are holding him and you have to be extra careful because he is so darn squirmy. I can imagine what the future will bring when he can walk. Yikes!

Yes, I never thought of it as doing crunches but it sorta looks that way doesn't it. ha ha. My little guy does "crunches" usually when he's laying flat. I take it as a sign that he wants to sit so sometimes I help pull him up or I prop him up with pillows and let him take in the view from a sitting position rather than a reclining position. BTW my lo is 12 weeks old and I noticed he started doing this a couple of weeks ago.

Yes! Mine does that all the time...he wants to sit up like a big boy and view the world like the rest of us! He is so tired of laying flat and cries whenever we put him down like that. Now he hangs out in his Bumbo or his exersaucer...loves that much more and squeals when he's in them.
