BM Question

My sone is four weeks old and up until a few days ago had soiled diapers everytime I changed him. In the past five days he has only had two bm's. I called the pediatrician and she daid it was normal for babies his age to go one to two days without a bm. Should I be worried now? Has anyone else had this problem?

As the weeks pa__s it is normal for them to have fewer bm's. My ds had 8 or more in the beginning, but since about 7 weeks he's only been having one a day or every other day. If your ds doesn't seem to be in any pain and the bm's he is having are not hard, I don't think i would worry:-)

Are you b___stfeeding? I do and hte same thing happened. The doc also told me that it is normal and not to worry about it.

Especially if you are b___stfeeding expect that. If his stool stays soft, he wets enough diapers and he doesn´t appear uncomfortable, there is nothing to worry about. I know it doesn´t seem to be normal, I stayed with my parents for a month and all the time my mom chased me with a box of supositories for babies after my son spent 4 days without a BM. My ped said that they can go like that for a even a week.

don't worry at all. when my son was that old, he did the same thing. He only had a bowel movement every 2-3 days. my dr. says it's completely normal. he said some babies can go as much as 5 days. enjoy the break while you can. Next comes the "b__w ou the diaper" poop!
