Diaper Rash Poor Baby

My baby has been pretty sick since last Friday and having diarrhea. He is still having some but more frequent stools than usual. Now his little bottom is raw. My pediatrician suggested some weird things and I wanted to get some opinions on them. She suggested baking soda baths (I can see this one), but then use a blow dryer (?-wouldn't that make it worse and chap his little bottom?) And also I can use a little Maalox (?) Also, use plain tissues. And let him air out-which is a bad idea because the lo likes to play lets hit mommy and daddy with projectile spray (LOL). How have you successfully gotten rid of bad diaper rash?

Not sure if you can get it where you are, but I have used calendula ointment recommended by a naturapath. Dont often take that path ... but this stuff is magic. Are you in Australia? It is made there. Otherwise, the b__wdry on cool setting is a good idea, as the moist environment promotes bacteria growth. Good luck ... poor little man ...

Palmers Bottom B___ter...it cleared up a rash that medicated diaper rash cream wouldn't touch! and it was only 4 bucks at walgreens. Also, as far as drying out, just wrap him in a cloth diaper or a towel between changes - that should help control the projectile pee :)
