i was wondering if u had a bundle me blanket thing, if it fit in the rear-facing britax (convertable carseat)? not the infant carrier... anyone have this? i wish to get rid of my dd's winter coat, which makes getting her in and out of the carseat in the car AWFUL!

I have one and I use it for everything, it fits strollers too!

There have been a lot of reports about "Bundle Me's" lately, especially with all the attention around infant car seats lately. They can be dangerous in the event of an accident. The fleece that lies along the seat prevents you from tightening the seatbelts to the proper tension, which would mean that they aren't tight enough during a collision. Where I live, we are strongly advised NOT to get that kind. Instead, look for the ones that go over top of the whole car seat. They usually have a flap that opens over the baby's head. They are MUCH safer because they don't interfere with the tightening of the seatbelts. This is what I have been told anyway.....I'm sure a lot of people have Bundle Me's, and love them.......but PLEASE keep this info in mind.

i knew of this belief that it is unsafe, but i have also studied up, and all the carseats prove to be safe even with the bundle me. i already have the one that goes over the whole carseat, but that only works with the infant carrier, and my daughter has outgrown that... we are already in the bigger seat, and still would like something like the infant cover, just for our bigger seat, and the only thing like that is the bundle me.

i have one and i love it but mine goes over the whole car seat so the belt actually goes under it so that it is more snug for my lo's protection in the car

I have one, and I love it! I haven't used it yet with a stroller since it's winter and my ds is only 7 wks, but it's so nice to just put a sweater or a light fleece on him instead of a big snowsuit, it's not so bulky. If you think about it, if you had a big snowsuit on him the straps wouldn't be as tight as they're supposed to be either, I think it's safer to bundle them on the outside of the seatbelts, that way they ARE in there snugger or tighter. ANyway, that's my opinion. The hospital said they were safe and fine to use.

That's why we are recommended to use blankets on top of the baby rather than a snowsuit or a Bundle Me. It's funny and a bit scary how different the information is. AshleyB's hosptial said they were safe....mine said they were not safe. Scary.
