Feeding Challenge

day after day, it seems feeding my dd her veggies and fruits is a bit of a struggle. The past 3-4 days I used distraction with an empty box, her toys(which can be washed right away, in case of accidental mouthing and of course getting a coating of carrots or pears on them! But today was the limit! She just refuses to have them and I know she's hungry caz shes crying and feeds from my br___t soon after. Did you lo's do this? if so, how did you handle it? At first I thought distraction was a bad idea, but she wasn't eating otherwise! Now even that isn't working and her learning of 'no' by shaking her head side to side isn't helping at all! She's 7 months by the way, just 11 days away from turning 8.

My dd was doing the same thing is almost the same age as yours. Our problem is that she is teething. Once that started, all the progress we had made with solid foods has disappeared. I continue to try everyday to get her to eat solids, but it doesn't always work. Somedays she's just not in the mood and I don't force her because I want mealtimes to be fun. I just try again the next day.

MelG- my dd is also teething, is that what this is all about? sigh! They are barely out, so wonder how many days/weeks this is going to be. She's wanting to bf more often too it seems (figures since caz she isn't eating the other food!) I've started to give her little peices of gerber puffs which she seems to love, maybe she's ready to move on to more solid food! But shes only 7 months! When did others start on finger foods I wonder...
