Hi ladies. My dd just had her two month check up and I feel like the doctor was a bit preoccupied and therefore Im not sure that he gave me the correct info about percentiles. Would you be able to tell me how much your two month old weighs and how long he or she is and what percentile that is? My daughter is exactly 10lbs and is 21.5 inches and he said she is in the 25th percentile. Does that seem right?

That seems right. My son was 12 pounds 2 ounces and 23 inches long at his 2 month check up. This put him in the 50 percentile.

Here is a link for a growth chart online. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhanes/growthcharts/set1clinical/cj41l018.pdf Sometimes my daughters ped moves over the growth chart to quickly so I just look it up for myself. Hope this helps!

My son was 11 pounds at his 2 month checkup,, still in the 25th percentile. Since when he was born he was in the 5th percentile, that was good news for us. I wouldn´t worry too much, babies do catch up.

At her 2 mo. check, my daughter was 11 lbs. 5 oz. and 23 1/2 inches long. The doctor didn't even bring up the percentile thing - I had to ask about it and was told that she is in the 50th percentile for her weight and the 90th percentile for her height. Apparently not a whole lot of emphasis is placed on percentiles anymore, rather that the babies are showing a consistent growth pattern at each check up. Your dd sounds perfect and healthy! Enjoy her!

My ds is due for his 2 month c/u tomorrow, but at his one month appointment he weighed 10 lb. 2 oz. and was in the 50th percentile. Of course, the charts are different for boys and girls. There are also different charts. There are weight-for-age percentiles, length-for-age percentiles and weight-for-length percentiles...your baby's percentile would be different on each chart.

Elle, my ds was the same stats. He was 11.5 lbs, and 23 1/2 lbs. I just finished putting away his 0-3 month clothes and taking out his 3-6. He's only 11 weeks.

Wow, Heather F, your baby is the same size as mine was at birth! Ben was 12 lbs 4 oz and 23 inches at his 6 week check so I'm sure at 2 months he'll be about 13 lbs. I have another week or so to wait until then though.

Heather, it looks like our babies are very close in weight. How long is she and what did she weigh at birth?
