Hey, I noticed we have a lot in common, and thought if you ever need someone to talk to, I'd give you my email address. It's prissiemissie11 at yahoo. com And a question: when is your hubby getting out? are ya'll moving when he does get out? Chad is going to school next month because the army selected him to be a recruiter. That means we will most likely be moving this summer.. and we won't find out where we're going until april! yikes!! anyhow... good luck with going home tomorrow!! I'm sure your husband is going to be surprised!

hey...my email is barbiegirl2958 at yahoo.. we arent sure when he's getting out exactly, which makes part of it so stressful! i want to start looking for jobs and houses, but with having no idea when, it makes it hard..secretly im hoping his medical gets denied, or they keep him on light duty because of his back, but keep him in. the benefits of being in the military are amazing. if he gets out, we will most likely be moving to florida. where are you guys stationed now? any idea of where you might get stationed? my best friends fiance' is being stationed in key west fl next august..im so jealous!

I know exactly what you mean. We have no idea when or where we'll be going. It could be anywhere in the US and anytime after may1st. We bought a house here (the colorado springs area) when we got stationed at ft carson...so we don't know if we're going to have to sell it, or rent it out. That's such a big decision, and we won't have much time to figure it out! That would be good if they let your husband stay in and do light duty work. could he be a supply person or something? I'm sure there is some kind of desk job they can give him. I agree, the benefits of the military are great. i couldn't imagine having to pay hospital bills and stuff, especially with 2 kids.

he says his back hurts worse with a desk job. he was an electrical mechanic on the helicopters and loved it..he's really upset about not being able to work on them anymore. i love having the insurance, especialy during pregnancy. with my problems, than caydens, it was easily around 50000, and we didnt pay a penny..where are you hoping to go?

Yeah, I understand how a desk job would make it hurt worse.. hmm..hopefully they'll figure something out for him. Theyn asked Chad for his two top choices of where he wants to go, and for his first he put Colorado springs (with hopes that we won't have to move) and his second choice is texas. he was stationed there for 7 1/2 years before we moved here and we both liked it a lot. The thing that worries me is that there doesn't have to be a military base where we get stationed... so it could be some tiny little town, or new york city or something. I'm so used to living around the military, it would be weird to go somewhere that isn't a__sociated with the army.

oh yeah.. where are ya'll staioned at, and where is home for you, if you don't mind me asking?

oh wow i just refound this thread..lol..right now we are stationed in nc...its ok. we;ve made some friends..the best part is we are only 2 hours from my moms best friend/my godmother/ds's godmother, so we see her atleast once a month..it helps seeing someone like family. im from florida and dh is from indiana

hey...i just refound this thread too. lol. I just found out today that we're heading back to Texas...I'm really excited. We'll find out where exactly on monday or tuesday. do you have any idea when your hubby is getting out?

they are in the middle of a med board..still no idea and its so hard because im trying to decide if i should register for cla__ses in august, but i dont want to register, pay the money, than have them come in september or something and be like ok, your out. hopefully we will know something soon...a small part of me hopes he stays in, because we are wanting to ttc probably at the end of next year, aftre ds turns 2, and you cant beat the insurance, especially if i get preclampsia again..lol..if he stays in, he will be in til 2010. they wont resign him because of his back, so he would get out than...how exciting for you to move back to texas!

yeah, i know what you mean. the medical benefits are amazing...that's the main reason i know I have to suck it up and accept that Chad is not getting out anytime before 20 years. he's almost halfway there though...woohoo! lol. It sucks that you don't know for sure what's going to happen yet. I really do think keeping families in limbo is one of the military's favorite things to do. We can never make concrete plans...having another baby is a big deal, and it sucks that you don't know for sure if you can do it or not. But I think i remember hearing that your medical lasts for a year after he gets out or something...I'm pretty sure if you're pregnant they would at least allow you to finish up the pregnancy with the military insurance. I am so excited about going back to texas. Now all my friends and my sister and her 6 kids will get to meet Diesel!

i know we could keep tricare, but would have to pay into it like any insurance, and would still have the copays and such, and we would have other insurance through jobs, but the fact that we can plan is the worst!
