I think Mason is already switchign to one nap a day on me. *sigh* For those that have kids who only naps once a day, what is their sleep schedule? Thanks!

My almost 3yo dd and 18 mo ds have about the same schedule, but ds sleeps in longer in the morning. They nap around 1:45-3:45 (ish lol) and go to bed at 8:00pm. DD gets up at 6:45am to go along to take my oldest to the busstop, while my FIL comes to "watch" my ds, who usually sleeps in until about 8:30am.

Hi Bonnie. It kinda sucks when they do this huh? Zoe stopped her morning nap between 11/12 mths. So her schedule turned to waking up around 8am, nap around 12:30 for 2-3 hrs then bed for the night by 8 pm. Hope this helps & good luck :)

My ds (14 months) is going to one nap it hasn't been a very smooth transistion. He wakes between 7:30 and 8 am then is up until about 11-11:30 sleeps until about 1 then has lunch. He is sleeping when he should be eating but he can't make it much past 11am before hes super tired then he goes to bed by 8pm sometimes he will take a cat nap at around 3-4. Its a horrible schedule imo but he goes to the sitter at 2pm and they have to leave at 3 to pick up another boy at school so I'm at a loss.

My 9m son wakes up around 7:00am and takes a 30-45 minute nap at noon and then goes to bed at 8:00pm. He has been this way since he was 4 months old. He hates to sleep - just like his dad.

my ds is 12mos.... he wakes up at 7am... naps at noon till 2-3pm.. then bedtime at 7pm.

Bonnie, Henry is starting to enter this territory as well. Some days I will get 2 naps out of him and somedays not. The transition period is rough. I am debating just eliminating the morning nap by force and seeing how he does. However, many days when he is up early, he is SO READY for a nap by 9am - rubbing his eyes, crying, and laying his head on the floor. Then he will sometimes b__w off the afternoon nap when he takes a good morning nap. UGH!

Ashtyn is still on two one hour naps. I would LOVE it if she went to one 2-3 hr nap... but I don't foresee that happening!

i think we are getting close to that time as well Bonnie! My 11 month old dd has been hit or miss with her 2 naps the past week -- today for example I think she will probably only have one nap -- she woke up at 7:45 am -- went down for a nap at 11am and is still sleeping now at 12:30 -- if she sleeps much longer I'm not sure if she'll want to sleep again in the afternoon. But yesterday she took 2 naps, 30 min a piece! she hasnt done the short nap thing in awhile! Her nap schedule is really kind of all over the place lately.

My two year old goes to bed about 8:30 or 9 and is up at anywher between 5:30 and 6:3 am. She will usually take a nap at around one and sleep for two to three hours…..Sometimes if she was up a little early or didn't sleep well, the nap gets moved up. If hse takes an early nap, you can tell and she is ready for bed earlier that night….or gets pretty cranky! Thankfully my 6mos old is still on a two a day nap….and will sleep for 1 1/2 to 2 hours for each, but her longer nap is usually in the am….I am not looking forward to her transition, but I don’t have to wrry about hat for a while I don’t think….

Henry was up at 6:30 am today, and took a nap from 9am to 10:30. I tried to put him down again around 1:15pm and he was quiet for about 10 minutes and then just talked for another 40 minutes before I went and got him out of the crib. I am wondering if I should just try to skip the morning nap tomorrow because he usually goes to bed at 6:45-7ish, and I think being awake from 10:30am till 7pm today is just too long of a stretch. Keep your fingers crossed for me today girls, because I am sure my afternoon is about to get real interesting with this little guy as he gets tired......

ash2 - January 16

Dont frett...My 4 year old will take a nap if i lay him down around 3 pm.

Nerdy Girl - January 16

Oh my you lucky duck! My four year old will laugh in my face if I try to lay her down.....

Ethan is also down to 1 nap a day, this just happend about maybe 3 weeks ago. He used to take 2 naps one in the mid morning and one in the mid afternoon for 1 hour at a time. NOw he takes his 1 nap around noon for about 2-2.5 hours. What about Mason?

Bonnie - January 17

Thanks ladies, yeah, his naps are all over the place. Today eh took two. I'll just go with it I guess, Little boogers! Just when you have them all situated, they switch it up on you.

jennyr - January 17

Lchan - your little one only sleeps for 30 to 45 minutes all day?
