This makes me hungry. Have you tried looking at the Food Network website? Tons of awesome recipes. Anything by Ina Garten is insane!

Kara - that sounds good - I guess as long as you can't "taste" the pepper, lol. They over power everything in my opinion!! I guess I'm just old school - I just dump meat (I use turkey) in a bowl, add an egg, handful of breadcrumbs, ketchup, worsch. sauce, chopped onion, s/p and garlic and mush, pat into ball and bake! Thats pretty standard and boring, eh? LOL Well, funny thing is - we're having it for dinner tonight! I love the idea with potatoes - although my son only seems to want them mashed when we have meatloaf (and dill potatoes are my favorite!!) I should certainly try to add the carrots into the mix and see if I can sneak them past hubs and son - just like I do with the turkey. 10 years - they still don't know they are getting turkey loaf, turkey burgers, turkey chili, turkey nachos...hehehehe

Hehehe, that's great, mcatherine, with the sneaky turkey..... My uncle does a super easy and suprisingly good taco salad. Brown beef, add taco seasoning, and in a large bowl mix the cooked beef, can of chili beans, cheese, diced tomatoes and lettuce. Serve over doritos and drizzle catalina salad dressing overtop! Hmm, we might have that tonight....

Have you seen Rachel Rays 30 min meals when she is using the ground chicken? Holy cow is it good! She did chicken Cordon Blue sandwiches and Chicken Parm sandwiches. She took the ground chicken and added a teaspoon poultry seasoning, 1 tsp grill seasoning, (she also added more savory spices to the CB one and italian spices and parm cheese to the Parm burger). She drizzled EVOO over the burgers before cooking them on a grill pan. I actually cooked mine in a non-stick electric skillet with a thin coat of EVOO. Then she topped the CB one with ham, swiss cheese and a mix of dijon mustard and mayonaise. The Parm she topped with marinara and provelone. She put both under the broiler to melt the cheese then served with lettuce tomato and onion. We have tried both and they are fantastic!!

1 pound ground beef 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup 1 (12 ounce) package wide egg noodles 10 slices American cheese .............................................................................................................DIRECTIONS Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain and return to the pan. Mix in the cream of chicken soup until noodles are coated. Crumble the ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain the grease, and stir in the tomato soup, brown sugar, pepper and salt. Spread half of the beef in the bottom of a greased 2 1/2 quart ca__serole dish. Arrange 5 slices of cheese over the beef. Top with half of the noodles, then repeat layers ending with cheese on top. Bake for 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until cheese is browned and sauce is bubbly. .......................If you have the ingridients, this is sooooo yummy ! I ate it before and we cooked it again the next night : )

BTW..the recipe calls for 7 min for the noodles to boil, but i had to do it much longer. Just keep boiling untill the noodles are al' dente.

sloppy joes, sheperd's pie (we put cheese in ours and no corn), cheeseburger macaroni, hamburgers (add a-1, onions, spices, garlic for super yummy burgers), beef enchiladas.

Kara - I have actually had the chicken parm burgers. We liked them, too!! I do like RR - she has some good ideas and throw together foods! Her talk show is horrible, imo, but I do love her on Food Network!!

I put a different twist on my meatloaf. I use a meatloaf season packet and half lipton onion soup mix and half brown gravy mix. Crackers, one egg milk salt and pepper mix all together and bake. It's awsome!

bekysu - my mother used to put onion soup mix in our meat loafs!! I had forgotten all about that until I just read your words! What a nice memory - I'll have to do it next time so my son can taste what his grandma's meatloaf tasted like!! (My mother has pa__sed obviously..) It is good, isn't it?

I use ground beef, ketchup, worchestshire, italian seasoning, onion, bread crumbs, 2 eggs, a bit of mustard, and lots of garlic in my meatloaf.

I call it "Irish Tacos". Brown ground beef, add kidney beans, corn, and taco seasoning. Put into baking dish, cover with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese and bake until the cheese is melty and bubbly. Kinda like sheppards pie, but a wee bit different. (Just remember to drainthe meat or add salsa because it can get kind of runny.
