OT Please Pray For My Friend

This morning at work, we received a phone call that my co-worker/good friends son died. Issac would have been four years old in March. Apparently he died in his sleep and his dad found him this morning. He had a mild temp last night and wasn't feeling the best. A co-worker and I are leaving in a few minutes to go to her house. I am so upset for her and her family. I don't really know what else to say...it's absolutely horrible. I don't even know why I'm posting this....maybe it's just to let it out, I don't know.

Oh my, how sad. I can't even fathom how they must be feeling. They will definetly be in my thoughts and prayers.

That is horrible! I'll definately say a prayer for them. What caused this? The fever?

Steph - February 8

They don't know yet. I really doubt that it was the fever. He was on the higher end of the specturm for autism and he would have seizures as well. I know that they are thinking he had a seizure in his sleep and that could have possibly caused his death. I don't know. They will be doing an autopsy on him to find out his cause of death.

How awful! That is just so sad and hard to imagine what they are going through right now. I will pray for them and for you to know what to say/do to help.

Thanks ladies. I just got back from visiting her and her husband, and they are doing the best they can. When we arrived, they had pictures of him all over their table and were just staring at him. They had to explain to the younger son who is turning 3 next month that his brother went to live with Jesus....it was so heartwrenching to listen to her explain how hard it is to tell a little boy that his brother is gone. They are some of the very best people and parents that I have ever met and it's so hard to see all the pain that they are in. The coroner thinks that possibly Issac had a viral infection that chose to attack his heart, but they should be hearing back sometime within the next few days on what could have caused him to pa__s. Thank you ladies for listening to me and keeping them in your thoughts.

There are never words to express the sadness of the death of a child.....

Steph - February 9

Thanks again ladies. All I've been able to think about is this horrible incident. Selfish I suppose, but I made sure that I kissed Myia and Trevor tons when they went to sleep tonight. I guess it really shows how sometimes your child can be gone in an instant. I know this is not necessarily a common thing, a four year old dying in their sleep, but it breaks my heart thinking of it. I honestly can't quite stop the tears...for her, her husband and family and for sweet little Isaac. I just can't imagine the pain and suffering that they are going through and it just kills me. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse by continuning to post, but for some strange reason it makes me feel a bit better. I really want to thank you ladies for listening to me and for thinking of their family.
