Is your baby on any sort of schedule yet? Is he/she sleeping through the night yet? Do you 'put them to bed' at a set time? Do you have any 'bedtime rituals'?

im glad you asked that Q. i was thinking of posting that myself. my baby is 2 1/2 months and she is not sleeping through the night. but oh how i wish! she does however konk out at about 9:00 every night if she doesnt take a late nap. i usually give her a bath and a warm bottle of formula, and she's off to dreamland. can anyone give any helpful on how you got your baby to sleep through the night?

yes, my daughter will be 2 months on the 16th. We have a schedual. Everynight at 9:30 i give her a bath get her ready for bed, feed her and even if she isnt acting sleepy i put her on my chest, put a blanket over her and hold her untill she falls asleep. Shes usually in bed about 10:30. She's been sleeping through the night since she was about 3 weeks.

My baby is 4 months old now and he has a schedule. When he was 2, he did not but everytime at 9-10pm, I will make it a sleeping ritual but rocking and shushing him to sleep in a dark room and soft lullaby music. He learned from that cue and would try to fall asleep each time I do this. No fussing or crying at all unless he is overstimulated before bedtime by DH.

Tasia is 2.5 months..10 weeks. She doesn't sleep much during the day (although she is actually napping right now!!) But at night she will cluster feed for about an hour, sleep for 6-8 hours, wake up for a feeding and a diaper change and go right back to sleep for 3-4 hours. SOMETIMES she will even sleep for another 3 hours!

my girl is 11 weeks and not sleeping through the night except on a few rare occasions. she doesn't have any real set time schedule, she goes to bed usually when we do at like 10-11 at night. we don't have any real rituals. since she sleep with me i nurse her laying down and she drifts off. for you 2-3 monthers, has your baby rolled over or anything yet. mine hasn't, she hasn't really laughed yet either. she smiles and make uh-uh noises and puts her hands in her mouth but that's about it. just wondering...

My son is 11wks. Iusually change/feed then put him down at around 9pm.He then sleeps until around 6am. 8am would be even better-but im not complaining!

My son is 10 weeks and he is starting to be predictable. He's not sleeping through the night yet, but he usually only wakes up 2x's for a quick feeding. I'm nursing and we co-sleep, so I usually fall asleep during his middle of the night feedings. Dylan usually falls asleep for the night between 9-10, and wakes up in the morning around 9am. We don't have any bedtime rituals yet, that will come when he's a little bit older. :o)

LJ- I am kind of working on it. My son is 9 weeks old. I have been reading bits of , "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child." At this age, the book recommends not letting the baby stay up more than 2 hours at a time and to not wake him if he is sleeping. I am starting to put him in the crib or pack n' play for a nap every 1.5-2 hours from waking up. Sometimes he sleeps, sometimes he doesn't. The last couple days he has slept more, but I don't know if this is just coincidence. He also sleeps about 5-6 hours a night, down from 7 hours a night a few weeks ago- not sure what happened there- lol! He is b___stfed, so I don't anticipate sleeping through the night for a while longer. If he can do 6 hours/nighht and then go back to sleep for another 2-3 after his short feeding, I can deal with that. Also, I do give a bath as pat of a bedtime ritual every other night. I would do it every night but I don't want to dry out his skin. :)

Gabby is pretty much the same as Kristina's baby. She will sleep for anywhere from 6-8 hrs, wake for a quick feeding and diaper change then goes back to sleep for 3-4 hrs. The most she has slept at one time was 9 hrs. It was great!

Forgot to add, she is on a routine of bath at 8 pm, bottle at 9 pm, and in bed by 10 pm.

I have a routine et for my older 2 so Ben just kinda gets shoved into theirs! I bath my oldest 2 at 6pm. by 6:30 they are in their jamas, and I put the last 30 mins of Cbeebies bedtime hour on for them. At 7pm I take Leigh upto bed, read her a story then leave her. Usually finished by 7:15, then I go down and read a story to Adam, and he gets sent to bed at 7:30, unless Leigh hasn't gone off to sleep by then (most cases she has). The latest he goes up is 8pm. So at 8 I bath Ben and get him ready for bed. He will be up till about 10:30 thats when we both go to bed. He sleeps through till about 5:45, but it depends on how much he has had to eat during the day, wether he wakes up through the night. He is 9 weeks old. It's pointless trying ot get them to do the same things at the same time on a night when they are that young though.
