What are your preemie babies doing? When did they get their first teeth? My dd is almost 11months on the 9th and no teeth and basically just started to crawl a few weeks ago. She was born 6 weeks early, just curious what other preemie babies her age are doing and if they have gotten their teeth yet??

my ds was only 3 weeks early, so i dont know if can help you on this one..but in every area except one he's exactly where a 3 month old should be and some where 4 and 5 month olds should be

My dd was always right on track with her milestones its just this crawling thing that took 4ever and still no teeth

My ds was 6 weeks early also. I would say he is a wee bit behind . It took him a bit to get his hands moving, but seems fine now. Also he doesn't sit very well but that will come. He has 3 girls taking care of his every need so I am sure that has something to do with it. (My 11 and 8 year old girls and myself) Joel is 8 months and just popped his first 2 bottom teeth. It was nice, they just seemed to pop out, of course with a lot of drooling, :)

My first was not a preemie and even she didn't get her first tooth until 10 months and she only got one. She finally got another on at 13 months. Teething is somewhat hereditary from what I know. Also, it is not uncommon for babies to crawl late even if they aren't preemies. I know this doesn't help but hopefully your won't feel like your baby is lagging. My second was 5 weeks early. He's only 4 months old so I can't tell you as far as later milestones. So far he has hit them all right on time. He's also bigger than his big sister was at this time! OMG!

Well, my dd was only 3 weeks early too, but she's doing great. She's hit every milestone perfectly, has two teeth and has already started crawling, she's 6.5 months.

My son was 6 weeks early and had the two front bottom teeth by his 12 month birthday. My daughter was 3 weeks early and she'll be 8 months soon, still no teeth. I'm sure her teeth will take their time as well, just as my sons did haha. Thats fine with me though, I feel so bad for them when they are teething! My son is now 2 1/2 and it's like he was never born early. My daughter still needs to learn to sit up but they all develop differently so I'm not worried.

Brittnay when did your son start to walk?

CShell - February 3

My son was born about 7 weeks early. He sat up by himself around 6 months rolled over around 5 months. At 9 1/2 months he crawled and then 11 months he walked. He had PT come in every 2 weeks so make sure he was on track. He is now 12 1/2months and 27lbs and nobody even thinks he was a preemie. He just this week got his 7th tooth. The PT told us there was a huge area where babies do things and not to worry. He was kinda slow to wanna do things at first and then bam did everything at once.

I think my dd is getting a tooth she has been really cranky the last two nights waking what seems like every hour I just nurse her back to sleep also she has been drooling more than usual and been doing weird things with her toungue like she has something in her mouth, Also would like to know how much each of your preemies weigh and how old? My dd is like 16 1/2 pounds
