Posted this on signs of Preg post but no one is responding and since I have been on this forum for 10 months I will ask it here--ok, well I was thinking I could possibly be preg cuz had s_x with dh on Valentines day with no condoms--well I took a preg test today and I got a faint positive - I have a 10 month old baby and when I tested with him, I got a faint positive also. I am going to test again first thing tomorrow morning. I have had a cold for about three days now and yesterday I took two doses of Motrin cold and sinus (different times of the day)--and theraflu nightime cold and flu -- I felt wired all day yesterday from all these cold medications and now If i am preg I am nervous that this might effect pregnancy--do you think it is way too early for any of that medication to effect pregnancy? I dont know if I should be excited or not - we really wanted to get pregnant this September so I could enjoy my summer - but if I am preg I will be due early November and I will have two babies, one will be a year and 7 months and a newborn--will these two be too much too handle or??? I am also excited on the other hand thinking that my kids will be close in age and since we only want two - i will officially be done in November of this year! Any feedback would be great. Thanks! ?

Congratulations on your pregnancy - I also recieved a faint positive with my dd. Even a faint line is a positive. It is to early in the pregnancy for the cold medications to affect the baby, dont worry, I am sure the baby is fine. It wont be to much to have babies that are 18 months apart, my mom had 4 kids under the age of 5 all at can handle two! Congratulations again and goodluck.

I wouldn't stress yourself out over taking medication either. I am sure there are a ton of us out here that probably took a drink of alcohol before we even knew we were preggo too----especially if you weren't really trying to conceive. Congrats though on your pregnancy--here's to a healthy, happy 9 months!!

That was me - a faint positive! You can totally handle it and yes it is WAY TO EARLY for any medications to effect your baby - your body kina gives you a 4 week buffer - while the egg slits and does all that fancy stuff! LOL! At least thats what I was told. Good Luck! You'll do great!

Congrats! I'm sure your baby will be just fine! Before I knew I was pregnant I was living on Advil for various aches & pains. Mine will be close in age also, my son will be around 1.5 & I'll have a newborn. Good luck!

DO NOT take Motrin or any ibuprofen containing product while pregnant. It is not teratogenic (doesn't cause abnormalities or malformations in the fetus), but has been shown to increase the risk of miscarriage. I had my first two babies 17 months apart and then my third when my oldest was 3. I liked that age gap myself. It's not all that difficult as once the youngest gets up to walking they play together very well and keep each other company. Congratulations!

hello - February 28

I dont know what the difference is between a faint positive and a not faint positive......I was a faint positive so i have to say also.......congratulations on your new addition to the family.... A 19 month old is getting alot more independant.... i am sure you will be fine.......

my dd was 10 mos when I concieved again (She was 11 mos when we found out.....) I also was freaked about having them so close. Sadley I m/c, but we decied to try again right away. My second was born in June and my oldest turned two Aug first. Not even two months apart. I love it. It was kinda hard at firs tcasue they were both in diapers,. but I think it is the reason my oldest potty trained so eaisily, we dint' have time to push, we just said here is the chari, use it when you want and one day out of the blue she started wearing underwear and never has gone back. Very few accidents too. She does wear pull ups to bed though.....anyway my point is I love having them so close. About the motrin, just dont' do it again. A lot of people do things liek that before they know they are pregnant. It just happens. Jut take good care now. let us know how the second test some up and congrats

waiting100, just read previous post after reading Emily's and realized I may have scared you! Didn't mean to just wanted to pa__s on the info. I had taken Motrin myself during the time between getting preg and missing my period when I was preg with Mason as I didn't know I was preg and everything turned out fine.

Hi - thanks for all the congrats! I can't believe it - I tossed and turned all night, this morning I woke up at around 5am and had to pee real bad, so I pulled out the test and did it this morning at 5am--positive - still not a bold plus sign but darker than yesterday - going to dr. today to make it official. It is now 6:30am here and I am just wide awake. Restless - but very excited too!!!! Wish I would not had taken those cold medicines!!!! But I am really only about three weeks along - which is nothing...thank you again for all the congrats - anyone else preg that will be due in November? We can wait together!

Heather F - February 28

Congratulations, I am so excited for you - I think 18 months is the prefect age gap!

I have 5 (4, 3, 3, 2, and 10 months) You will be fine, you just figure out how to adjust schedules, to make everything work. Congrats!
