Question About Naps

For the past few months my dd who is about 9 1/2 months old, would sleep in our bed surrounded by pillows 2-3 times a day for up to 2 hours at a time. She would wake up and jabber to herself so I'd know she was awake. The first time she crawled off the bed, I started forcing her to nap in the crib. Only since then she only naps for about 40 minutes twice a day. She still sleeps pretty good at night. My question is, should I be trying to get her to nap more often so she'll get more sleep?

i would say if she sleeps well at night then leave it alone. If she is waking lots or is waking early now then it's a sign that she hasn't had enough sleep.
