Question About Schedules

How old was your lo when they started to eat and sleep on some kind of schedule. My daughter will be six weeks tomorrow and though she sleeps well at night (waking every 2.5 to 3 hours to eat) during the day she is up and down like crazy. She must take about a dozen 15 to 20 minute naps a day rather than a few longer ones. Eating is just as crazy, she always wants to eat, but for only like 5 minutes at a time, then she doesnt act hungry anymore and fusses if I try to encourage her to eat more. Any advice on what to do? Or is it pretty much normal for this age?

Honeslty, it sounds about right for that age. My son kept on the 3-4 hours per night in a row until he was about 5 months old. He also would "cluster feed", which seems kind of what your lo is doing right now. I'd bet that she's going through a growth spurt and you get a lull from this in the next few days.

Dd is kinda the same way, although she is sleeping through the night, thank goodness. She is 7 weeks tomorrow and she barely sleeps during the day anymore. Which really doesn't leave me a lot of time to get much done. And she doesn't have much of an eating schedule, either. Somedays she'll eat a lot per feeding and not eat as frequently and other days it'll seem like I'm feeding her all day just a couple of ounces at a time! I really hope she gets a schedule soon...and a nap time!
