Regressing From Sippy Cup ARGH

OMG! My dd is 9 months....and has NEVER taken a bottle, and has only ever takes a sip or two from a sippy cup (and that's on a good day). Well, she's regressed even farther now, and refuses to let the sippy cup touch her little lips. I am at my wits end. She's 9 months old for goodness sake LOL. I had been using the Avent sippy cup with the white spout (the soft one). Lately, I have been trying it without the silicone valve....but she will often choke, which turns her off the sippy cup even more. Do you think I should try a different brand? I've heard many Moms talk about the Nuby kind. Or, should I just keep trying the Avent? HELP me please.....this child will still be br___tfeeding in grade 1 at this rate!!!! lol

Well, I highly recommend the Nuby sippy cups. I had my ds completely on sippy cups by 8mos. because of those cups =) ..Also, what are you putting in the sippy cups?... my ds (still) will only drink milk from them.

I think it might be worth your while to try the Nuby sippy cups. I personally buy them and my kids love them. My ds knows how to drink from the sippy cup no problem. If you to buy one let your lo choose the colour cup. The nuby cups have a slow/ fast flow valve to them.

Okay, Nuby it is! Are there different "styles"....what should I be looking for?

Nuby worked for us too!...and I had tried a variety of sippies. Not sure about the different styles of nuby though...GL!

I have a Nuby but it is a transition cup. It has a clear silicone nipple that is wider like a sippy cup but no valve. It is still leakproof though. My dd loves to drink from it.
