Rug Burn Face

my lo is trying to crawl...he has the legs part down but he isnt great about the arms...so yesterday he had his feet under him and was pushing froward off of them but he doesn't pick up his arms so he sc__ped his face across the carpet and now has a nice rug burn on his face. Is my son unique in this? Also, what can I put on it to help I oil him every night but should I put lotion on it too?

My DD also tries to crawl, and although I put a blanket down she gets all over the room and ends up on the carpet most of the time. She keeps getting a little rug burn on her chin, but there isn't much I can do about it - I'm going to ask the doctor about it on the 5th, but I'm sure it's just part of them learning! She also had small ones on her knees from one time I put her down with just a onesie on.

My lo doesn't crawl yet, but I got him BabyLegs (google it) that are like leg warmers and will protect his knees from carpet burn.
