I know this doesn't really fit the topic, but here goes. I was just wondering how long it took for your st_tches to heal and you to stop being sore after delivering your baby. It will be 2 weeks for me tomorrow and I am still sore. If I sit on a hard chair it is really uncomfortable. Anyone else have this?

I was sore for about two weeks - but are yuo sure it's the st_tches? Is it possible you might hemmorhoids? (I'm being serious - they can be much worse than st_tches, and because they are so close, it's hard to pinpoint where the pain could be coming from)

I got st_tched up and didn't feel 100% down there for 8 weeks! I went in for my 6 week check up and all was fine... just took an extra 2 weeks to really feel great.

Mine took roughly 5 weeks. I've notice now that it itches where my st_tches are/were. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal? It almost feels like I have a yeast infection, but I don't.

Thanks to all who replied. AprilMum, I did have minor hemmorhhoids, but this is definitly the st_tches. I totally understand what you are saying though.

Hey jb- I felt alot better after one week, but was still a little sore when sitting. I had a 2nd degree tear and a tear in my cervix that was stiched up. I felt almost 100% better after 2 weeks. I think you will start to feel sore less and less now that it has been over 2 weeks.

I could not sit on a hard kitchen chair without a pillow for about a month. The st_tches are dissolved within 2 weeks give or take a few days. It is the healing of the tissue, theskin stretching and the muscles you used while pushing that take the time to heal, and cause a lot of the pain. It is totally normal for some women. I really did not start feeling more like myself, for about a month....mind you I had a third degree tear, and 20 st_tches.

I was sore for almost 2 months, but I had a 10 pound baby and over 100 st_tches, Give it time! and Ibuprofen!!!! thats my bestfriend!

100 st_tches! Good lord! I don't think I'd be having any more kids if that was me!! LOL

mommy716 - February 27

lol!!! its wasn't that bad!!! it took them 2.5hours to st_tch me up but I'd do it all over again.

It took about 4 months for me to feel 100%. I thought the doctor did something wrong and I would NEVER feel better.

I had two deliveries, one with stiches and one without. It hurts either way for a while. I thiught the sore feeling was stiches after the first, but I was just as sore for weeks after a regular delivery. I thought that I would be back to normal ASAP after the last one, but I still took 4 weeks to feel 95%.
