My dd is 15 1/2 weeks and i know she is teething. She is constantly drooling, biting her hands, actually biting anything she can and crabby. What are you all giving your lo's for teething?

Teething tablets work well or gripe water. Ihave never used gripe water but lots of women on here says it works. Tylenol when it is really bad. Teething rings or a cold wash cloth for chewing. The was cloth would work good because it is easy to grasp. Baby orajel is good but is only temporary relief.

My pedi told us not to use anything except for cold wash cloths or teething rings. The tablets have bella donna in them (toxic substance) which is what numbs the gums. Of course it's only a very small amt but nonetheless I was advised against it. She also said that orajel really isn't worth trying as it only lasts for a few minutes and gets all over the babies mouth and throat. Some mothers have been afraid numbing of the throat could cause problems swallowing or breathing. Of course tons of ppl have used both these products and loved them....so it's to ur discretion.

teething seems to last for months! my dd hated orajel and i tried it and did not like how it made my gums feel, either. i've used the tablets but havent really noticed much difference with those. so i havent used anything lately, except offering her lots of cold teething rings and did give her tylenol the other night when she couldnt sleep.
