Temper Tantrums Already

Asjani will be 8 months in 5 days and eversince she was 3 months old she would fall backwards when she was frustrated with something. Now that she is almost 8 months she has real temper tantrums! She will kick her legs and arch her back when she is upset with something! Do they usually start this early? I tell her "Mommy will not respond to that" and I ignore her and she usually stops within 1 minute...but just wondering, do they start this early?

They do. I ignored straight off and she got the message. She only did it for maybe a week two tops. I must admit I thought it was the cutest thing, before that I thought that kind of behavior was learned. Apparently, it is not. She hasn't done it since.

Oh yeah, my first son was and still is horrible eventhough he never got attention from us for it. When he was about 18 months old he would bang his head forward on the floor (even tile). Everyone one else was appalled but we just looked the other way and eventually he did stop that, but he still throws fits now and he is three and a half.

I thought it was only me going thru this screaming stage with my baby!! Tahlia is almost 8 months also, and the last week she has been screaming at the top of her lungs, and not just to get attention. She has been doing it at 4am for over 30 mins. Last night I took her into the spare room and put her in bed with me and just let her scream it out. She stopped after about 40 mins and just fell asleep. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing, but I can tell you that it has to stop and soon...

Lucas is only 4 mos and is already throwing minor tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants, gets something taken from him, or we don't pick him up as fast as he wants us too. He arches his back and throws himself and it is really funny. I try to ignore it too. He is going to be a fiesty one, like his mommy. So far he is all me, all the way. Lord help us all!LOL!
