Hi, My DD is 7 weeks old and her stool has been watery for the past 3-4 weeks now. doctor says its okay and normal because she is gaining enough weight. She had her 2 month shots on thursday. She is vomiting once per day since then and her stoll is still watery. I am wondering if she is getting dehydrated. I am exclusively br___tfeeding her. Does anybody know if I give her formula once or twice, will it make her stool thicker?

Hello, My baby was born a bit early and when she was about 3 weeks old she spent about a week where her stools were SUPER watery. There was almost no consistancy to it at all. I was so scared, she was going all the time. The doctor said it was just her digestive system getting on track and not to worry. Of course I did. They said basically the same thing, that as long as she was gaining weight and acting normal not to worry. It did pa__s and everything was fine. it was just scary to she her going often and having it be so watery. I do not think formula is going to make it thicker. Perhaps so of he other moms will know better. You may just have to wait it out. Just keep an eye on how she is acting and if you are concerned do not hesitate to call your doctor, that is why they are there!! Good luck and I hope she is feeling better.
