I take my dd, Stella, to the Dr. on Wednesday and just wondering what other 9 month olds are weighing. Also, height, crawling, standing, walking etc. She isn't crawling yet?? I'm thinking it could be any day now...she just started rocking back and forth on all fours. Thanks!

my ds at 9 months was crawling big time, he was walking at 10 months. He was 26lbs and 29 inches. He is now 13 months and weights 27lbs and 31 inches.

DDT - November 27

My ds turned 9 months on the 17th Nov. He weighed in at 21 lbs and was 28.5 in long. He started crawling at 7.5-8 months. He isn't standing or walking yet...no pulling up.

DDT - November 27

Sorry...not 7-5-8 months it was 8-8.5 months when he started crawling (*lack of sleep...)

cyclemom - November 28

My ds was 22 lbs. 5 oz. and 30 inches at his 9 month appt. Although I had to take him in today (a week later) because he's been vomitting like crazy and he's lost almost a whole pound in a week! Not good. Anyway, he started crawling at 8 months and now pulls upon everything in sight and loves to crawl up stairs. It's so funny to watch him crawl. On our really soft, plush carpet, he will crawl on his hands and knees, but on everything else (tile, hardwood floors, and not soft carpet) he crawls on his hands and feet - and he his speedy. It's pretty funny to watch.

cyclemom: Thats funny that you mention your ds's different crawling techniques depending on the surface. My ds is exactly the same way. Sometimes both feet flat on the laminate and other times one foot flat on knee down. It looks hilarious! but on the carpet its always both knees down.

DDT- the funniest was when he was just starting to crawl. He would have one knee down and push off with his other foot to propel himself forward. Glad we caught that one on video!

My dd goes in next week for her 9 month visit - I can't wait to see where she is at but we had her weighed at her flu shot and she was 16 lbs 10 oz. Your boys all sound like they are growing fast and strong! DD is crawling but army/inch worm style. She is pretty quick but she never lifter her bottom off the floor. She is getting interested in pulling up but hasn't yet.

DB - November 28

At 9 months my dd was 18lb 4oz and 28 inches. She was army crawling at that time, but just started really "real crawling" a couple weeks ago (she is 10 months now).

alida - November 28

I took my dd to her appt and she is 16 lbs 14 oz and 27 3/4 ". She's a peanut! He said she should be crawling by now... I try to entice her w/her toys and she gets on all fours but doesn't seem to know how to go for it...in time I guess! :)

mamagoose - November 29

Tyler was 20 lbs 3 oz and 29" at 9 months. He started crawling at 8.5 months, and at 9 months he's pulling up and cruising furniture, climbing stairs, etc. It happened really quickly, he went from non-mobile to a race-crawling/cruising baby in about 2 weeks!

ds will be 9 mo next friday. 24 pounds (according to the grocery scale at Walmart) wearing 18 mo clothes, and is just getting up on all fours. he squirms his way around now, but i think he'll be crawling like crazy before long.

Ok, I know my child is NOT 9 months old yet, but I had to respond bc he seems to be a freak of nature...lol At his 4 month (17 week) appt..he weighed 20 lbs and was 28 inches long!!! He isn't crawling yet, but pulls himself across the floor from one end to the other and is already saying "ba ba" and "da da". The pediatrician said that his height and weight is off the charts and his talking is a bit before his time. I don't know what to think...lol I just know that if he continues to grow at this rate I am going to have to shop for him at the BIG and TALL store when he is 9 months old....lol

Gretta - December 8

Chloe weighed in at 17 lbs 4 oz and was 28 1/2 inches! She is crawling but not pulling up yet.

Eclectic - How big was your boy when he was born?

madison - December 8

wow my dd is soooo small compared to the other babies here!!!. she will be 9 months in about a week and she is probably close to 15 lbs if we are lucky. she was 14 at her last check-up (6 month check-up but was actually just 2 months ago) but i really dont think she's gained a thing since then! she had on pants today size 3-6 months and they are big on her. she's super crazy active- started crawling a little before 6 months and pulling up shortly after. she's cruising furniture now and can stand for a few seconds but not walking yet. she also just started dancing 2 weeks ago and it's the cutest thing. she is also a climber- climbs anything she can- which is scary. has already climbed up all of our stairs- with me right behind her of course- i didnt think she would make it to the top but she did and kept on going (lol) and has gotten up onto the coffee table and a couch using other things to help her (clothes basket, etc.). we have to keep a close eye on her. anyway- so she is very small and always has been in about the 5th-10th percentile in weight and about the 40th percentile in height. alida, dont worry though, all babies are different. even though our lo is crawling, etc., she still may not decide to walk until 1 year or more. you never know.

Franny - December 9

My dd just turned 8 months today and is 16.5 pounds. She seems very skinny compared to other babies around her age. She has been pulling her self up to stand for about 2 weeks and can even take a few steps while holding on to something. She has no sign of any teeth coming...is that strange...?
