When can you start giving meats and yogurt?

I started yogurt when ds was 6-6.5 months old. But only gave it very sparingly...now at 8 months he gets a cup of yogurt a week. I started meats when ds was 7-7.5 months old. There are different options on when to start either of these foods. For meat there are 3 different opinions....some say its a good first food, some say to start at 6-7months, and then others say to wait till 8-9 months old. For yogurt...some say 6-7 months and others say 8 months. I think it's safe to start both with your lo if she is almost 8 months old. It took my ds about 4 tries to get used to the texture of meat (if you make home-made food). He refuses to eat the "meat" out of the jar...I don't blame him its quite bland tasting. I give him meat for his dinner with a veggie/meat combo.

my dd is 6m3w and she has been on meat , chichen veggies and yogurt for 3 weeks now ... She has juice and fruit in the morning , veggies with meat or chicken (as soup) for lunch and in the afternoon 3 ounces of yogurt with one measure of cereal and mashed fruit in it ... she loves that ... what is your dd having now??

I have just been giving her Stage 2 fruits and veggies, cereals and occasionally I will mash a banana or a pear. She also has been getting Zweibak toast now and than which she loves. I wish I could say I have been making her food but I haven't. DH and I eat way after she goes to bed and I never blend what we eat. Thaks for the advice though I think I will try yogurt today!!
