I am going to introduce yogurt for my 8 mos old and I bought the Yoplait brand from the shop (Only that was available that day)..Has anybody used that brad and do you introduce plain yougurt w/o any flavor?

I heard that Stonyfield Yo Baby is one of the best baby yogurts. It's organic & made with whole milk (which is best for babies) It is also pre-biotic. It's flavoured banana, pear/apple or plain. I buy them for my lo. You can buy them in a 4 pack of cups (they are all I've seen). My lo finishes a cup with a bit of extra fruit added to it. If you are going to go with another brand I would try and find a yogurt with the most milk fat content in it (2-3%). You don't want to buy those with skim milk ect.

I have only given my ds plain yogurt but I put baby fruit on top (little sundae). I don't think brand matters much but do look for higher fat %.

And DDT: How many days a in week do you give yogurt to Caden...

Priya: I give him yogurt 1x a week for lunch...just because the Stonyfield is fairly expensive. He gets loads of calcium from his formula already so the yogurt is really a treat at this age. I've been offering him shredded cheese as finger foods for a few weeks already but he hasn't perfected his coordination to get it into his mouth yet. I just keep offering finger foods anyway after every meal. Is Sudhi getting any finger foods into her mouth yet?

DDT..U should see Sudhi eating finger foods..For now I have only given her biscuit pieces and cherrios...She will pick them up with too much hard work and then crushes that in her palm and puts it in her mouth..Half of it falls down and I offer her finger foods once a day..Maybe I should increase it..

DDT: As yoou said the Yoplait ones are low fat yogurts and the milk fat content is 2%..So can I just give her this 6 packer and then start with the Stoney field one? What do u think?

Just a tip -- My ds didn't like the Yo Baby yogurt until I thickened it a bit with baby oatmeal. It's really runny without it. Also, I offered it at least 6 times before he liked it. When he didn't like it, I'd just eat most of the open container myself because it tastes so good with the higher fat content.

Hey Priya! I started on "Lil Ones" yogurt at first, I got them at Walmart - now I give dd Mini Go's - they are the perfect size for a snack for her and have yummy flavours like banana, oragne, strawberry...she loves them!
